How to get to Nusa Penida and transportation in Nusa Penida.


Nusa Penida is part of Bali Island which is separated by Badung Strait, and it is began to be known by many travelers and managed to enter as one of the most favorite tour in Bali.

It is unique and differrent than other destination in Bali since it only can be accessed by sea. Sea transportation such as speed boat is available.
Visitors can use one of three available harbours, serving speedboat transport to Nusa Penida Island, and they are all located in Bali.
You can choose crossing to Nusa Penida from Sanur Port, using Maruti speedboat, and it take about 40 minutes to reach Nusa Penida Island. Departure at : 8.30am, 10.00am and 4.00pm. Other alternative from sanur is using Caspla Bali Boat, departure time at 07.30am and 04.30pm. These Nusa Penida speedboat service transfer the visitors to Toya Pakeh.
Public speedboats are cheaper and its departure time are 07.00am, 08.00am, 08.30am, 10.00am, 03.00pm, 04.00pm.

Padang Bai Harbor, is other alternative for transportation to Nusa Penida. If you plan to explore Nusa Penida using your own motorbike, than using public ferry from Padang Bai is the best choice to go. Public ferry to Nusa Penida leave at 11.00am and arrive at Nusa Penida about 12.30pm.

Another way to reach Nusa Penida island is from Kusamba Harbor at Klungkung, it is close to Padang Bay. The speedboat Gangga Express will serve and transfer to Sampalan Village at Nusa Penida. The boat departure from Kusamba at 07.30am and 02.30pm. It take about 20 minutes from Kusamba harbor to Sampalan village at Nusa Penida.

The time required for each port access varies from 30 minutes up to 1 hour. It all depends on the situation and natural conditions (currents, waves, wind and other technical things).
